Land Usage and Power
The FLUX power plant design is simply a tower in the center of a concentric array of
mirrors. Land area for this design is gauged at 3-4 Acres per Megawatt.
Within this land area, for a RE plant, power is specified as Capacity and Yield.
The Capacity of a power plant is based on its theoretical maximum peak capability to
produce power from the sun, under ideal conditions.
The Yield of an RE plant is its actual daily output in watt hours. This value is typically
forecast as an annual daily average.
